Miss Tricia:

Tricia has long been dedicated to working with children—a commitment that began with a co-op placement in a kindergarten classroom during high school. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, graduating with honours from Trent University. Continuing to pursue her passion for education, Tricia completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Western Ontario, where she was an active member of the Early Years Education group. She is a certified Ontario teacher for the Primary/Junior division.
After becoming a mother of three, Tricia dedicated several years to raising her children, operating a home daycare, and driving a school bus. All three of her children attended The Orleans Preschool (TOPS), where Tricia developed strong relationships with the staff and recognized the positive influence of the preschool environment on children’s growth and learning
In 2014, Tricia joined the TOPS teaching team as a supply educator. Over the years, she became a permanent member of the staff and currently teaches in the 2 day program, the 3 1/2 day program and the lunch program.

Afrooz teaches in the Half-Day Preschool program, the Toddler program, and all Full-Day preschoolers in the afternoon. She continues to grow and learn in the early learning field.
Miss Kim:

Kimberly Corley is a dedicated Early Childhood Educator whose work is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and a deep commitment to children and families. Before entering the field of early learning, she spent many years in social services, supporting vulnerable populations, and later moved into management at a day program for adults with developmental disabilities. These experiences shaped her belief in dignity, inclusion, and community—values that continue to guide her teaching today.
As a parent to three young children, Kimberly brings a lived understanding of child development and family life to her work. She went on to operate a licensed home daycare, become a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), and deepen her practice with her trilingual abilities in English, Spanish, and French, as well as her yoga instructor training. She is currently pursuing her Ontario Teaching Certification through the University of New Brunswick, continuing her journey as a lifelong learner and reflective practitioner.
Beyond the classroom, Kimberly is an active community leader. As a Girl Guides Leader, she empowers young girls to explore their strengths, build confidence, and discover their place in the world. Across every role—educator, parent, mentor, and guide—Kimberly is committed to creating spaces where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow into their most authentic selves.
Miss Alyssa:

Alyssa Ferguson has been a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) for over 11 years and graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Algonquin College in 2014. She has experience working with preschool, kindergarten, and school-age children and is excited to expand her knowledge by working with toddlers and additional preschool-aged children.
Alyssa is a proud mom to a four-year-old boy who is the light of her life and brings her immense joy. She loves being a mother and describes her son as truly amazing. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys listening to music and attending concerts. Her personal motto is “messy means fun,” although she admits her OCD sometimes takes over. Alyssa believes that children are miracles and deserve all the love in the world.
